So right, Paul, the Bomber fan. I wish some would clean up their act, including myself. Don’t have to be monkey see, monkey do, sort of thing. I miss an intelligent conversation and debate. And I fall into the trap as others, when trolls try to take over.

I agree somewhat with your comment. I was one that was head-scratching with Maas’ decision. Personally, I along with many others, had the initial impression of going for a tie or lead without hesitation. And should the Eskimos not succeed, then hem Calgary deep on two downs with another opportunity for a touchdown. This, to most, made the most logical sense. And I won’t back down with those same thoughts and decision if it were I that had to make that choice. I believe most of the reporters in the media scrum felt the same way. But Maas will have to live with his decision and some sarcasm from Edmonton faithfuls until next season.

Actually greenonions, I admitted to the herculean “loss” by the Riders so I wasn’t holding my fist high in celebration — believe you/me. And please, we all make mistakes as a head coach — certainly Maas made a crucial mistake that he really shouldn’t have as a coach. And a lot of bloggers assume he intimidates all, or most, of his assistant coaches with his fiery attitude that causes most to back off from him. So there he was making what I deem, a huge mistake. And yes, look at the Riders and the 13th man. It will be remembered in infamy, especially by the Rider haters who will always bring that issue up. And here I go, but I assumed your team was Edmonton by the way you write and your mentions of the green and white. (Nobody should jump to conclusions like I did). But there are a few very slanderous eskimo fans that love to run Chris Jones down at every opportunity. As well, there are a few Stampeder fans like one infamous one that isn’t as slanderous as I’ve seen in his/her writing. And I’m absolutely not impressed with Rod Peterson. I made one or two mentions of that in other story blogs. In addition, there should be no bitching by the Roughriders and Rider fans regarding the travel east. As I recall, the Riders rested four possible starters against Edmonton — Trent Richardson, Cam Marshall, Naaman Roosevelt and Sam Eguoven — while the Eskimos had, I believe, all of their starters for the entire game against Saskatchewan. Fortunately, the score was tied midway through the fourth quarter until Edmonton pulled ahead and won 28-13 because the Eskimos were very well aware of the eastern experience they encountered the previous season. The Eskimos, though, dominated the Riders at the line of scrimmage in that encounter and I believe Saskatchewan was fortunate to keep the game as close as it was due to lack of discipline and line problems. Like you, I get tired of some of these that use derogatory language — sliders, morons, saskabush, etc. Intelligent conversation is so welcome. Yet it is shown by few. And yes, I’m one of those Rider fans that accepted the loss to Toronto graciously. Toronto was the better team on that day and deserve to be in the Grey Cup along with Calgary. And I will admit I am a western fan and have always liked the Stampeders for personal reasons. So I will salute the Stamps on this day and wish them best of luck in the Grey Cup. By the way, if I may ask, who your team is? Curious???
