I agree, and I fully expect them to. I hope the Riders do the same. I’m not going to lie, Riders v Stamps for the GC? There’s not a better match up. Think about all the trash talk, by players on both teams, not to mention on here. Chris Jones’ history with the Stamps? Leaving them in the lurch to go to TO and then refusing to shake Huf’s (and Dave’s) hand until recently? Carter? All the former Stamps in Sask? Messam, former Rider, and of course BLM? None of the other possible match-ups will have the intensity of a Riders vs Stamps GC.

In reply to Brad. I guess we will see. Backups or not they weren't in any of the last 3 games. How many were backups? You need depth too. Luck doesn't win playoff games in 4 quarters. Your comment is making an excuse already. So if they lose you cover yourself if they win you back it up. Thier not as superior as you think. Many teams caught up throughout the season adding youth, depth, playing them early in the season more So than Calgary. I would say Edmonton and Saskatchewan have better depth. Calgary has great veteran Starters who at the end of the season showed thier depth. What saves them is thier O line and defence. I don't care what paper and stats say on any given Sunday/game day. You go out and you earn it. Especially at playoff time.

I spoke to a LB from back in the ’90s about this game, and he said two things of note: 1) the last 3 games for the Stamps meant nothing for them keeping their jobs for next year, and they just wanted to stay healthy, which is why so many back-ups played, hence, the games count for crap – when the season was on the line they beat everyone, they are the superior team; 2) the layoff can be good, or bad, depending on the players. This is the only way the Stamps can lose: they believe their press, like last year. The Stamps are by far the best team in the league. The question is will they show it or will another inferior team like the 8-9-1 RedBlacks get lucky when it matters.
