WOLFVILLE, N.S. – After all that, Acadia is moving on to the final four of the U Sports football post-season.
The Axemen defeated the Saint Mary’s Huskies 45-38 in overtime in today’s Loney Bowl.
As the Atlantic University Sport champion, Acadia will host the Ontario champion Western Mustangs in the Uteck Bowl on Saturday.

The Uteck winner will advance to the national championship game – the Vanier Cup – on Nov. 25 in Hamilton.
The Loney Bowl was originally scheduled to be played last Saturday, but the game was cancelled by AUS due to concerns about the eligibility of a Saint Mary’s player.
Nova Scotia Supreme Court Justice Deborah Smith ruled on Sunday that the game should go ahead.
