Saskatchewan has had some injury issues at the running back position and because of it, the Riders are likely to start a somewhat surprising name at running back in the East semi-final.
Chris Jones says the healthiest players will play, and the healthiest running back is Marcus Thigpen. It will be his first CFL playoff game since 2011 with Hamilton. #CFL

Thigpen started in Week 20, rushing seven times for 32 yards and one touchdown while adding two receptions for 31 yards and one touchdown. Those were his first professional football touches since playing for the Buffalo Bills in 2015. The 31-year-old broke into the CFL in 2010 and 2011 with Hamilton, the versatile playmaker – running back, receiver and returner – spent parts of four seasons in the NFL. After over a year out of football, Thigpen signed with the green and white in September.
His appointment to potentially starting at running back means Trent Richardson and Cameron Marshall are not healthy enough to play.
