Riders roster shuffle: Roosevelt in, LaBatte out, Dennis in

Saskatchewan gets a top receiver back but the Riders will be missing a key part of their offensive line and could be without Trent Richardson as well for the East semi-final against Ottawa.

Naaman Roosevelt returns to the gameday roster after sitting out three games with an upper-body injury. He caught 75 passes for 1,035 yards and eight touchdowns in 14 regular season games. It’s likely Roosevelt will be back at his customary weakside slotback spot, which is where Chad Owens was for the final three contests.

Brendon LaBatte started all 18 regular season games for Saskatchewan at left guard and centre, but he was carted off the field in Week 20. 2016 Most Outstanding Lineman Derek Dennis takes his place in the starting lineup after being out for three weeks.

If the Riders do indeed only go with one international running back it will come down to a decision between Richardson, Cameron Marshall and Shakir Bell, all were on the one-game injured list last week. Christion Jones will likely be the primary return man.
