“It almost felt like certain people didn’t want us to win,” Lewis told the Montreal Gazette‘s Herb Zurkowsky. “When attitudes and egos change, it changes the culture. When you have people in place and coaches not wanting certain players …I was told in Week 3 that I wasn’t really wanted…there were a handful of guys who weren’t wanted on our team.”
Lewis set the mark for most catches all-time in the CFL while Jackson was a highly-priced free agent signee from the Grey Cup champion Ottawa Redblacks in February.
It seems odd the bench boss would want Lewis and Jackson gone so early in the season, but then nothing should surprise us in Montreal under the current regime.
