Here you go diehard:
This is a stupid story. In my opinion it isn’t even a story. I have been to 9 games this year including 1 preseason and 2 away games and every game Ive been to the fans sing the anthem. Riders fans are very loyal, pationate, opinionated, defensive and yes we are sensitive too but we aren’t any better at honouring Canada than I have seen at other sporting events. He story line should be: The Mic Didn’t Work. But by adding the word Rider they get more hits.

And no, we do not sing it in French in Saskatchewan.

In reply to David. Agree partly with you David. Riders game was available on tsn 3 at 930. I pvr both games but for the first 3 min tsn had a message screen saying " event not available in your region".

A spine tingling moment that made me proud and thankful to be a Canadian. A felt bad for the young lady but she handled it with class and a sense of humour and kept right on singing despite the mike and gave a huge smile at the end. I hope they bring her back next week! Good job Regina and all Rider fans!!

French? Why would we sign in French?? After Western Canada separates from Canada OUR language police probably won’t allow people to speak French, have French on signs etc. Yea, a real dick move I know, but we’ll just be following Quebec’s precedent.

And oh yea, we’ll be keeping all our resources AND the only good teams in the CFL!

First off – lose the caps. You dlnt need to shout – and the last thing a Saskatchewan crowd is going to do is sing our anthem in French. We have conceded enough to Quebec already – leave us a morsel.
