No, it’s a DB and a receiver injured. They can easily be replaced, that’s why you have backups.
I would say that if you lose your starting QB and his backup then you can say they are “hurting heading into the playoffs”

“Bleak” would be losing your starting QB and his backup.
Losing Gavins will hurt but that’ why they have decent backups.
Same with Sinopoli, he’s a sure handed 2nd and long receiver but there are good receivers in Ottawa to step in. Every team goes through it.

In reply to Snake. Couldn't agree more. I've always thought it was more than a coincidence in Hamilton. Especially with all the problems with the stadium. In Ottawa, I don't think the turf is an issue. Overall injuries I think are a direct result of the terrible schedule the league has had the past few years. It has helped with some bad games.

Don’t know the circumstances of Gavins’ injury… but in Hamilton we’ve had four torn ACLs to key players in past two years without players being hit… I’ve said it before and will keep on saying it… there’s something wrong with the turf they’re using in all the CFL stadiums… I’ve never seen so many serious leg injuries without contact in my 50 years as a fan… the CFLPA needs to step up and investigate this for the sake of player’s safety… and for the fans who watch their teams struggle to replace star players…
