Zach didn't play under the same conditions as Masoli has had. Masoli when he played in relief of Collaros didn't look or play any better. I for one would hate to see Collaros replaced with Manziel who doesn't knows the CFL game and from all accounts does not seem to have the good work ethic that he'd need to learn the nuances of our game and be successful. 27

Masoli (like most QB's) gets too much credit for wins and too much blame for losses...

When Ticats are 1st and goal on the one yard line and line up in a shotgun to throw a pass... that's just plain dumb strategy and not Masoli's fault... he doesn't call the plays the coaches do...

The OT loss to Calgary was completely June Jones fault... twice going for (and failing to get) a 2 point convert and gambling on 3rd down instead of kicking a short FG... that's five points that Jones left on the field... Cannot blame Masoli (or Courtney Stephen's DPI) for that loss... great to see that June Jones learned from his mistakes and didn't make any of those same blunders in the next game...

Point is, Masoli plays and manages the game well enough to win... his occasional runs are a great threat to any defence and I noticed in the Als game he is getting more feel for the passes he throws... doesn't always need to be a bullet and sometimes a floater over a defender is more effective... he is probably benefitting from the new QB coach that June Jones hired...

If Zach returns I am OK with that... Zach might be our best QB going forward... though I have noticed his passes often look like wounded ducks and he no longer has the arm strength to go deep... but if he is traded I am OK with that too... he might help the Ticats better by getting us the 1st over all draft pick (Als pick) and reducing our cap hit by $500,000 allowing us to invest in other talented players to improve Canadian content, pass rush, receivers, etc.

Just saying...

Well we can agree to disagree on Masoli. When he can complete short passes and score TD's not fieldgoals and play 60 minute not 20 min games I'll be onboard until then he has a long way to go.

I have to admit that I thought Banks was done. I was wrong and have been pleasantly surprised by his performance as a WR.

Still amazes me how any Ti-Cats story ends up with people posting that Masoli is not a starting QB. Masoli is a #1 QB. Just ask June Jones. Kinda reminds me of Matt Nichols in Winnipeg. No one thought he was a starting QB until he got a chance to play consistently.

Oskee Wee Wee.

Excuse the typos in my last post. Just want to add that cats should resign BB if they can get him on the cheap. Too many holes to fill in the secondary to throw a ton of money at an undersized (albeit dynamic) receiver right now. We need to stops teams from marching down field on us, which has been a huge prob.

"Speedy B" has really come on as of late. Wonder how well the cats would've done over the last 3 yrs had Austin figured how to properly utilize him. JJ is used to making to most out of what he has availible to him. I say give him another go with a full off season under his belt to truly evaluate and tweak the team, and to give him time to grasp all the nuances and rules of our game. As far as Masoli goes, I'm just not sold yet on him as a started but he Def is a fantastic no.2. Interested to see what the off season brings in way of offensive changes and QB depth chart.

Every receiver drops catchable balls. Banks dropped a few that would have been big gainers (and probably TDs) given that he burned past the coverage -- hence his misses have been more visible, and painfully so, than many.
