Naaman Roosevelt has been scratched by Saskatchewan for the Riders game against Calgary Friday night.
The 29-year-old was listed on the team’s depth chart but the receiver left the team’s Week 17 loss to Ottawa and did not return, so he’ll sit out and recover further from an upper-body injury. Roosevelt has already recorded his second straight 1,000-yard receiving season in green and white.
Chad Owens took first-team offensive reps in his Roosevelt’s place during practice and should see lots of action in his Riders debut at the boundary slotback position in Cowtown.
