Bronx Bombers blitz CFL on TV ratings

The Yankees were the Evil Empire to the CFL in Week 17.

Games 1 of the American League Championship Series, featuring New York against Houston (608,200) drew more viewers than any of the four games played in the three-down league. Yankees-Astros Game 2 beat Lions-Bombers and Argos-Eskimos (543,500) with all three events taking place on the same day.

However, both CFL games on Friday, Oct. 13 beat out an all-Canadian NHL matchup between Ottawa and Calgary on TSN (98,000). And each CFL contest on Saturday, Oct. 14 pulled in more sports fans than Game 1 of the National League Championship Series which had the Los Angeles Dodgers taking on the Chicago Cubs (290,400).
