Exactly and I think both zone and coverage he will do well in, but when 255 puts his head down that might have a different result. Personally I think he may play 1/3rd of the snaps and Bouka will fill in the rest. He's too valuable on the O and part of it is the coaching chess game.

I think focus on just one position or side of the ball is one of the problems that DBs and def players generally suffer and show it weekly with dropped sure INTs. I do like though that we've seen some INTs this season with players very skilfully lateraling the ball and then blocking - which tells me that these teams are practicing this stuff more.

I liked the CFL banter (Mitchell - Carter) as that's what makes things interesting and fun - as well as how they constantly attack Matthew Scianitti - you know it's fun and not for real.

Doesn’t happen often, but Julian Edelman (for a single season), Troy Brown (one season), and Deion Sanders (who occasionally lined up on offense from 1992-2004, but only received more than 11 targets once. Catching 36 of 67 for 475 yds in 1996 for Dallas) are the 3 players I can find that played both ways in recent history at REC and DB. Other than that, as far as I can tell, you have to go back 45 years or so and the game has changed a lot since then. That being said, I don’t doubt Carter could be an excellent DB. Most DB’s are ex-receivers who for some reason or another at some point switched to playing DB. In fact, I think Carter could be an all-star at that position with a little time and practice to get him up to speed. My only question on this is: Carter is already an excellent receiver, and playing him as a DB as well WILL impact him as a receiver. Whether it’s playing less on offense because he’s playing D, or playing too much on both sides and running out of gas this could have a negative consequence on his offensive production. I guess what it comes down to is where is he more valuable to the team? On offense, where he is comfortable and familiar, giving Glenn (or Bridge) another big time, dangerous, target on every play against the best secondary in the league? Or on defense, where he has never started before ever in his entire football career, against a Stamps offense which has been struggling a little of late and missing their leading receiver? I would be inclined to the former rather than the latter.

Stamps have not lost a regular season game against the riders at McMahon since 2009. Let's keep it that way.
