It’s good to see Getzlaf back in Rider green. I was in Regina for the Calgary game and saw how embedded he was in that city, even though he wasn’t playing there. Very community-minded individual and Regina is lucky to have him.

Probably won’t see him play this weekend (though, I guess you never know), but wouldn’t be surprised to see him down the stretch.

Ugh. Well, he’s a vet and having a vet as an emergency backup is probably better than a rookie. He’s taking Blaszko’s spot so he’s probably better than him.

While his best days are in the past if he’s got a solid few games left in him that he can make 3 or 4 receptions to keep drives Adobe then it proves to be a good signing allowing the Riders to keep Richardson on the field.

Let’s just say it doesn’t hurt at all to have Getzlaf in Rider green. A Saskatchewan boy who played most of his career in the green province. Plus, he brings experience, knowledge and veteran leadership to a young, talented group of receivers. Not only is it a PR signing, but it brings value in the locker room and on the field. Question: Anyone know the status of Naaman Roosevelt? I know he took a hard shot midway through the game against Ottawa, and wasn’t seen for the rest of the game. Would be a hard loss for the green and white to absorb if he’s out for any period of time.

Also happy to see him back for the stretch, depth and leadership. Despite suffering from the dropsies late in his career, I’ve rarely seen a receiver work as hard blocking downfield. Welcome home Chris.

Good for Getz, I hope he gets a chance to play especially against the stamps. He was always a stamps killer.

Gee, RobE, aren’t you the one who said you had all that depth @ National receiver? Aren’t you the guy who wrote Getzlaf off & constantly crows about all the good decisions Jones has made with personnel? I’d love to have seen the look on Jones having to ask Getzlaf back. Already mentioned but there are Nationals on the PR. That is an obvious endictment of his PR guys not being good enough, no? OR could it be this is just another guy, among, many signed but not ever dressing?

He will run the correct routes, knows how to block, and is a good veteran presence in the dressing room so a good move going into the final 3 games. Nice to end career with Roughriders.
