The West will be up for grabs in the playoffs. For the East, won’t be surprised if Edmonton is representing them in the Grey Cup. The only Western team they’ve beat this year is BC, so they’re likely going to the crossover and they’ve done very well against the East.

I think the cross-over is the way to go from a “getting to the Grey Cup” standpoint, unless you have a chance to host an extra game during the playoffs… which is all about business: always nice to sell an extra couple mill worth of ticket sales!
That said, I think a healthy Trevor Harris makes Ottawa’s receiving core very dangerous. But the Stumps D at home? No thanks!!

What I thought: Power Rankings meant was that at a neutral field, no external factors, 1 should beat 2, 2 should beat 3, etc., you know, which team is the most powerful this week. Something different than the standings because… well, you have “standings” for standings, don’t you? Just for fun.
But I don’t get 3Down power rankings at all. It’s nice to have the vote of confidence in the Blue, but two pathetic performances in a row and the loss of their best receiver and best player (certainly best defensive player) and the Blue stay #2?
Very confused … but doubtless, I’ll be back to check this out again next week.

I think Edmonton should be ranked higher, but it doesn’t really matter. What matters is we know who the top 4 are and we have just the #3 playoff seeds to settle. Edmonton, Sask, and BC still has a shot. What’s the preferred route? Play both Winnepeg and Calgary in their buildings? Or, play through the East in Toronto and Ottawa, which no crossover team has ever done?
