Dexter McCoil has been claimed by the 49ers.

He was waived by the Los Angeles Chargers on October 7.
The 26-year-old was originally signed by the Chargers in January 2016. He played 18 games recording 26 tackles, defended five passes and intercepted another.
McCoil played two seasons for Edmonton. He made 144 tackles, intercepted nine passes and six sacks. After winning the CFL’s Most Outstanding Rookie award in 2014, McCoil helped the Eskimos win the Grey Cup in 2015.
