Dump the cliches! Dump the cliched reporters! keep the articulate, informed reporters regardless of their gender, background, beliefs etc.

On a positive note, I was glad to read the reporter’s comments about the fair and respectful consideration she is given by CFL players and coaches. Also nice to see folks who know her work speaking up for her.

Occasionally, a sports reporter will ask a very insightful question. Most of the time though, the questions are simple, cliched, silly, insulting, non-sense and/or “soft pitch” questions “You must be happy/disappointed with the play of your….”. The problem is when a women asks those types of questions, it’s suddenly gender becomes important. That smug piece of trash newton is probably a little less smug today though… he’s lost a sponsor already and this mess he created for himself will continue to cost him money.

Well, it was an ODD question to be sure. I do not profess to be knowledgeable about football but I am scratching my head a little bit about “the physicality of the routes” (that quote may not be verbatim) Still, sexist comments are offside.
