Saw a clip of him before last night’s game – he’s a big boy. As for the run D…..we better have that on lock down after our last two games. Like to see Knox out there a lot more today

Richardson may not play all that much. Since there’s no contact in practice anymore he won’t have had football contact even in practice for, what, a year? His first hit is going to be interesting to watch. I’m concerned about the Riders run defence as well, but I still think we’ll win. They key against Ray always is getting pressure on him. If he has time he’ll cut you to death, but if you put pressure on him and knock him down a few times he becomes a lot less effective.

Now gents. What are the predictions for today ? I’m excited to see what Richardson has to offer and hope our O starts firing air and ground right off the bat. Other than that our D needs to be wary of their run game but can’t focus on that while they pick us apart passing.

D determines outcome – Riders by 9

TSN is sticking it to Rider fans big time. Many Rider fans in particular are not necessarily big sports fans, and so won’t have the sport package. Being a Rider fan comes with being born in Sask, even if you’re not a big fan or other sports, and these people now won’t get to see the game. Combine this with the end of the game being cut off a couple of weeks ago and I’m sure some of the soft fans are going start giving up on following the team, and that will hurt the Rider’s bottom line as well. Heck, I’m a fan of many sports but even I don’t have the sports package. I couldn’t care less about the Blue Jays, MLS, or the NBA, and that’s the bulk of what they show on those channels, so I’m going to be looking for a bar that carries the game this afternoon. And the MLS game they’re showing on TSN 1 instead of the Rider game will draw 1/5 to 1/10 the number of viewers, so TSN is taking a major loss just to support a Toronto/Vancouver/Montreal sport over a much more popular Canadian sport. This is something the CRTC should look into, and there’s no way the CFL should allow this in future TV contracts.
