I don’t get it. Newton and the Panthers did not kneel or sit during the anthem, but Newton is personally a hypocrite because some players on other teams knelt and then he screwed up on an unrelated issue?

Reporter: “Cam, I know you take a lot of pride in seeing your receivers play well,” Rodrigue said. “Devin Funchess has seemed to really embrace the physicality of his routes and getting those extra yards. Does that give you a little bit of enjoyment to see him kind of truck sticking people out there?”

Newton: “It’s funny to hear a female talk about routes. It’s funny,” Newton said, before then giving some thoughts about Funchess growing as a receiver.

First time I ever heard “truck sticking”. But I don’t play video games, I just watch football.

Funny that he took issue with “routes” and not “truck sticking”.

They sound more ridiculous than the situation they were trying to talk about….

There are MANY successful coaches who have NEVER played the game…

The positive in these football players displaying their truths for all to see. Is those kids may choose better role models.
