Trent Richardson rejoins Riders

Trent Richardson originally travelled east with the Riders in advance of their game against Ottawa.

While Saskatchewan came back and got a win in the nation’s capital, Richardson tended to a personal family matter in Florida. He has made his way back north of the border and the Alabama product will be back for regular practice this week as the green and white prepare to travel to Toronto in Week 16.

Richardson is making a pro-rated $67,500 for the remainder of the 2017 season.

The arrival of Richardson could be ideal with the Riders leading rusher totalling 49, 34, 12 and 52 yards in the last four games, Kienan LaFrance and Brandon Bridge accounted for those numbers. Saskatchewan ranks last in the CFL with 907 rushing yards, while every other team has 1,000 or more yards on the ground so far this season.
