CFL command centre makes another mind-boggling replay call

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats game against the Toronto Argonauts has featured yet another questionable replay call.

In the third quarter with the Ticats leading by seven, defensive back Courtney Stephen intercepted Argo quarterback Ricky Ray. Toronto challenged the play, looking for pass interference on S.J. Green by Demond Washington.  This is what the command centre saw:

After much deliberation – TSN went to commercial and came back before the decision was made – replay official Jake Ireland ruled that there was pass interference and the drive continued.

TSN analyst Glen Suitor was immediately critical of he decision on the broadcast.

This is hardly the first time folks have expressed concern over the state of replay. Then there was the time CFL officiating cost somebody a million dollars.

Reaction on Twitter to this latest call was scathing and it wasn’t just the usual bitching from fans of the aggrieved team.
