There is no comparison Cavillo just entered the league at 24 Colloras is 29 and has been in the CFL for 5 years and Zack just lost 12 in a row and it wasnt all the O-lines fault his accuracy has been terrible do you blame the O-line for that plus the fumbles as of late added to it plus it is a business also its part of the game being traded.

I am in complete agreement Ticat Mike!! He was set up and has been carrying the blame for the total breakdown of our season first half . He has been given NO CHANCE since Austin left the coaching post .

Mark – 100 percent correct. Collaros was set up to fail this year with terrible pass protection, no run game, and play calling that was ill conceived. Add, a horrible defense, no special teams (except for the superb play of Castillo) — and no QB could survive in such disarray. With Jones, the offense is balanced and has a better sense of adjusting to what defenses are doing. If they let Collaros go — we’ll see him thrive under good coaching somewhere else — history will repeat itself — Calvillo, Damen Allen were shipped out of town. Matt Dunigan lost his career from an idiotic offense that resembled what Collaros has been running earlier this year – being hounded and hit on nearly every play. No blocking, no run game….you get the picture. Manziel is a long shot — I have no idea if this guy is the real deal. Another Casey Printers?
The prudent thing to do is put Zach back in control for a few games and see what you have — does he have it? Have injuries taken their toll? The upside with a healthy Zach is much higher than Masolli or an unproven misfit in Manzier.

When the Ticats had the brawl at practice and Collaros was confronted by who started it, he blamed the media for saying who it was. When the TSN reporter asked for specifics he said “Scianitti” and something tells me from that he might have been a bit more open with this guy than maybe others in the media. I know Scianitti’s a Mike Reilly target for his rain coat and his dropped pass but in the Collaros story I think he’s got it right as to Zach’s opening position and desires.

Seems to me that if pressure was the only issue, he would want to stay to keep the big $$ contract rolling in.

Personally, I think he wants out as he thinks that in a different situation, he can still play.

I also suspect that if he did end up in Toronto where he sucked, he would be more worried about fixing the issue or planning retirement than thumbing his nose at Hamilton/Austin.

Agree that the big $$ contract while injured without incentives was a bad idea.
