Riders game-wrecker Ja’Gared Davis was once Saskatchewan property

Ja’Gared Davis, once Riders property, ruined Saskatchewan’s comeback effort in Week 14.

The 27-year-old defensive end was traded by the Roughriders to Calgary in exchange for quarterback Phillip Sims in a June 2016 negotiation list trade.

Davis had three sacks and forced the game-clinching fumble that he recovered himself on Riders quarterback Brandon Bridge. That trio of QB takedowns brought the Southern Methodist products total to seven in seven games this season.

Sims never played in a game for Saskatchewan. He’s now a high school coach in Virginia.

Hindsight always provides clear vision, but the Stampeders certainly won that trade.
