Jennings can’t explain?!?!?!?! Well some better be able to explain it, and then FIX it because it’s broken and my bet is on the play selection.

Double tights i.e. bringing in two more blockers won’t work of they bring in two more guys to rush knowing there are two less receivers so they need to leak those TEs so they become a threat to catch the short passes.

No, it is not a “sexy” offence, Yes it will keeps the chains moving,
YES, it will force them to respect that they can’t bullrush every play and let loos a receiver behind them (even if it a short gain.
Yes, it will keep their D on the field and your’ OFF the field,
YES, it will eventually open up the big play.

We were supposed to have an EXPLOSIVE offence this year and right now, it is not even a good offence. Not for a lack of talent either. Hunter Steward and David Foucault are BIG men, is use their size to advantage. Use TWO backs and run the ball down peoples throats til the D wears down and THEN go for the home run throws, not the other way around. If Khari can’t call the game, make Travis the OC, or even Bellfeille. SOMEBODY has to be able to use all that talent out there. Teams with way less are doing way more. Sorry…I’m pissed. We are grossly under achieving.

It’s really not that hard to figure the lions problem out if you look at the subpar o-line play. JJ himself was over-rated after a stellar rookie campaign at the helm and receivers like Manny more concerned about the “manny show” than actually performing. They believed the press clippings and I have to admit I had them pegged to finish 1st in the west. Here’s hoping their problems continue and the ticats hand them a serious beat down this week.

That was the big problem with Zach Collaros earlier in the season – he kept looking for the glory plays and missed guys who would have gotten him first downs. People keep touting QBs as “great” when they throw the long bombs but some of the most efficient QBs are the ones who consistently hit those little 10-15 yarders……

The Lions have the lineup to compete, there’s no arguing that. And Hamilton has – thankfully – raised their compete levels; their D looked like untrained high-schoolers earlier this year. I hope the Tiger Cats give the Lions a run for their money. It’s time for the Eastern teams to step up and be counted, unless they want to collectively lay the biggest divisional egg in CFL history.
