I am strictly talking about statistically best pass defence – yards allowed were lowest last 6 games in 2016. I don’t doubt that Calgary had best overall defence in league & 3 All-stars in backfield well deserved. But on a small sample, they were up there, as they were earlier this year before injuries ransacked the backfield. Looks like a different unit now than the past half dozen games.

Brandyn arrived late last year after being courted by several teams & the Eskimos went 5-1 down the stretch with the best pass defence in the CFL for the last 3rd of the season. Hightower is back playing & Jefferson is in the mix. Instead of having to play Woodson & Hoover who were the #3 & 4 safeties, Neil King is back & had a decent season last year. Take out Muamba & Young (hopefully – he’s been awful), Adams, Hightower, Grymes, King & Jefferson (or Edwards) would make a decent veteran backfield. Then Ladler can play where he’s best – at SAM.

Exactly what they most needed, a top player for their secondary. Plays with intensity. Grymes helps plug up that leaking D averaging about 40 points against per game in the five straight losses.

Ya horse…..went to a Rider game here in my City of Calgary and had some as*$ole pour beer on me in front of my son. My friend who has had season tickets told the “regular fan” what a classless bag of sh*t he was before I got to him. Ruined the game for us and the clown got an earful from the other fans in the section. You sir (and I use that term lightly) need to get a life or a hobby because if you are as much of a tool in person as you are on here – I doubt you will see your 22 birthday !!
