No question Anderson was a great back, but better at his position than Geroy. Not even close. Geroy retired owning every receiving record possible with an argument that he is best to ever play the position in this league. At best, Anderson ranks 4th on that list (Bright, Reed, Pringle) and by the time he’s done Andrew Harris.

I believe one other HOF recipient was more deserving. Kelvin Anderson. Running backs take a nasty beating every game. He was a better player at his position than Geroy was at his position. Wally knows when to cut ties with his players when they get a bit long in the tooth. He had to release Allen Pitts and he was every bit an equal to Geroy. Unfortunate that Pitts knees did him in at a early age.. love to all recipients in HOF this year.

Geroy Simon was an incredible talent, but in my opinion the greatest Lion ever was Willie Fleming.
