For those saying the Riders because of injuries, I don't think they can afford to add Watson contract (unless it was front loaded), nor do I believe Chris Jones ever wants to see Drops Chambers in his locker room every again. Actually the Riders don't need them, that's why they went back to Edmonton... They were already here and did absolutely nothing. No thanks, i'll take my chances with Radford(who is leading with tackles on special teams, great draft pick by Jones) and Bailey. No thanks with these guys. This might be Chambers last shot... He's had ample opportunities and hasn't taken advantage of them.

Hmmm... we haven't had a three way trade in the CFL since I don't know when. Wonder if both Hamilton and Saskatchewan could be involved. Quick - start a rumour.

Watson is 33 so getting up there. But very physical, good for 400 yds/yr. If you compare to Riders/Bomber guys (YAC in brackets), for this season to date, Watson has 276 yds (219), Bagg 192 yds (29), Demski 222 yds (64), Feoli-Gudino 338 yds (162) & Coates 32 yds (13). You wouldn't think he'd be up there with the Rider duo but has more yards & more than double the YAC. He'd be a good add for either club for this year & can block. I'm a bit surprised he's on the trade block. Certainly not for CAP space with 5 guys finished for the year, 3 just finished 6 games, Van & Whyte been out 5 so probably out at least one more & Hazleton out 3 games so unlikely needed for next 3. That's a lot of CAP space saved on salaries so don't know where Naylor is getting that.

Wpg is ok. They have a ratio breaker in Harris & Coates played well in relief of F-G a couple of games ago. (Nichols said he didn't even realized Coates replaced F-G until after he caught a ball).
But overall... Wpg has been REMARKABLY lucky with respect to injuries... so maybe I'm kidding myself saying we're good. We may have some dues to pay soon.

Cory Watson was great with Winnipeg when -everyone together- he was healthy, which wasn't that often sadly. Great hands, acceptable speed. AND he seems to have gotten smarter ... avoiding hits and giving up those two extra yards unless it meant a first down, that kind of thing. But his expiry date must be coming up, isn't it?
