Ryan Phillips spent 12 of his 13 CFL seasons with the Lions and he’s returning to work for the same organization.
The 34-year-old has been hired as a regional scout by B.C. The two-time Grey Cup champion and four-time CFL All-Star wanted to stay in football even if it wasn’t playing.
Phillips played in 214 games making 486 tackles, 47 interceptions, scoring six defensive touchdowns, recording five sacks and four forced fumbles over a Hall of Fame worthy career.
Recently, Phillips shared who he felt the best defensive backs are around the league for 3DownNation.
