One week after missing out on the Saints’ 53-man active roster, Adam Bighill will be in the line-up for tonight’s regular season opener in Minnesota.
Bighill was added to New Orleans’ practice roster nine days ago after a promising training camp down south. Many expected the former Lion linebacker to win a spot on the club’s active roster — after a brief setback, it appears Bighill’s supporters will get their wish.

The #Saints have cut @Bighill44. If he doesn't get claimed he will likely accept a PR spot. Not sure what more he could have done to make it

Saints waive LB Adam Bighill. Man, I was really pulling for this guy. Plays with heart and passion!

Bighill, a fan favorite in many CFL cities, will be sure to get plenty of eyeballs north of the border as his Saints take on the Vikings tonight in Minneapolis. Kick-off is at 7:10 PM ET.
