Moose delays fans trying to get to Banjo Bowl, launches tongue-in-cheek conspiracy theories

A moose on the, uh, loose has delayed the sold out crowd from filling Investors Group Field for the Banjo Bowl between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Because there is a loose moose on campus. Please use University Crescent or King's Drive.

The moose forced police to close a main road leading to the stadium, causing significant delays.

Given all the controversy leading up to this game – allegations of faked injuries, spitting and mascot abuse – social media saw the humour (and and potential conspiracy) in the moose’s appearance.
