Former Eskimos receiver Derel Walker has garnered attention in Tampa Bay.
The 26-year-old put together two CFL all-star seasons, including finishing second in the league with 1,589 receiving yards in 2016. That production earned Walker a two-year contract with the Buccaneers, that includes $100,000 in guaranteed money.
It’s already looking like a smart investment by the Bucs.

WR Derel Walker continues to be the go-to player on the third team, but hasn't seen many second team reps. pic.twitter.com/FqRXu6oLGg

After opening training camp on the third team, Walker has since earned a move up to the number two unit. He was a Texas A&M teammate of Bucs No. 1 receiver Mike Evans.
Walker has played in two pre-season games but has not recorded a catch. That said, he laid a devastating block against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Holy Sh*t do y'all remember this block from Derel Walker late in the Bengals game 😳. Even the announcer couldn't breathe haha pic.twitter.com/Ah3sRvnIgu
