The five-foot-nine, 200-pounder played in eight games for the Jaguars last season, making nine tackles, recording one pass knockdown and half a sack.
After going undrafted in 2013, Johnson was signed by the San Diego Chargers, but he was released before the regular season. Then he suited up for the Lions in 2014 and 2015, totalling 100 tackles, five sacks and three interceptions in 34 games.
Johnson was a standout at the difficult strong-side linebacker position in the CFL.
