Winnipeg has cut American defensive back Bruce Johnson.
The 29-year-old did not dress in a game for the Bombers this season. Johnson played in 47 games making 141 tackles, three interceptions and forced three fumbles.
Last year Johnson was suspended for two games after testing positive for the recreational drug methylenedioxyamphetamine, otherwise known as MDA or “Sally.”
Bruce Johnson was never spectacular, but he was a solid field-side halfback. Don't understand cutting him now. #Bombers #CFL
