Toronto head coach Marc Trestman has ruled quarterback Ricky Ray out for Friday’s game against Montreal.
A decision about who starts at quarterback for the Argos will be made on Thursday. With McLeod Bethel-Thompson on the six-game injured list that leaves Cody Fajardo, Jeff Mathews and Dakota Prukop as options to start for Toronto.
Coach Trestman will announce Argos starting QB on Thurs, although Jeff Mathews got majority of reps over Cody Fajardo on Wednesday. #CFL

Ray was hit by Calgary Stampeders defensive lineman Michael Kashak last week.
The 38-year-old suffered a shoulder injury. Toronto has allowed a league-high 20 sacks on the season.

“I’m having some pain when I throw,” Ray said.
Argos veterans were bracing for time without Ray. Under Trestman, Ray was leading the league in passing yards (2,421) and attempts (292) in the Argos’ pass-first offence.
