Canadian kicker and punter Sean Whyte was on TSN 1260 in Edmonton and shared how much the Eskimos were looking forward to Friday night’s matchup with B.C.
The 31-year-old said: “Excited to put a beating on these guys.”
Edmonton did “beat” the Lions in Week 1 on the final play of the game, Whyte chipped a nine-yard field goal through the uprights for the winning points. That came after a 76-yard connection from Mike Reilly to Brandon Zylstra in the final minute.
Whyte has hit 10-of-11 field goals (long 55 yards) and 7-of-9 extra points to go along with 26 punts for 1,074 yards (41.3 average) this season.
The highly anticipated tilt could come down to Whyte’s leg again.
