The Eskimos cover man was handed a one game ban by commissioner Randy Ambrosie for making contact with an official in Week 5 against Hamilton.

“Making contact with an official is clearly beyond the acceptable standards of conduct in the CFL,” Ambrosie said. “Officials, who play such an important role in our game, must be treated with respect.”

He was flagged for objectionable conduct on the play.

Peters receives the same level of discipline that Ticats defender Will Hill got for grabbing an official by the collar against the Riders in Week 3.

Hill elected not to appeal either.

Peters, the sophomore CFLer who has started four games at the boundary halfback spot for Edmonton this season, did not practice with the Eskimos on Monday or Tuesday as the team prepares to face B.C. at Commonwealth Stadium for a West Division first place showdown on Friday night – each squad has won four straight games.
