Ticats sign former Bombers defensive back Terrence Frederick

Hamilton has inked cover man Terrence Frederick to help their secondary.

The 27-year-old started nine games with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers last season, registering 33 defensive tackles, three tackles for loss, one interception, two pass break ups and one quarterback sack. Before his stint in Winnipeg, the 5-9, 196-pound native of Katy, Texas, played five games in the National Football League, including two with the New York Giants in 2012 and three starts with the New Orleans Saints in 2014, collecting 19 combined tackles overall. He was originally selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round, 246th overall, in the 2012 NFL Draft.
