After signing with Redblacks, Jonathan Newsome slams Riders

After signing with the Ottawa Redblacks, defensive lineman Jonathan Newsome told his side of the story about being released by the Riders.

The 26-year-old was let go by Saskatchewan earlier this week.

Newsome did not play in Week 1 for the Riders, but he suited up in Week 2 against Winnipeg and recorded one tackle and an interception.

He played in 18 games last season for Saskatchewan, making 27 defensive tackles, six special teams tackles and two sacks.
