In reply to JC. Love that idea JC as long as it remains as it is, warts and all. Trying to duplicate what the NFL does has been a graveyard for many many league startups. If you think the US market would accept our game I think the new Commish should look into it with ESPN. Our last foray into the US market was brutal let's be smart this time and go small. Dreaming further I also think it should be maxed out to 12 teams no matter how sustainable it were to become. And that should be based on geography. Say a team in New England, (vast market) another in the Central time zone, finally lastly in the Northwest.

Three compelling fantastic games to start the season……Great Stuff! Someone should market this game better south of the border……as an American I don’t want to be that guy….as it is the CFL…but for those of us badly wanting summer football….we tried USFL, UFL, etc….when perhaps the answer all along is a lot closer than most thinking? Need to solve the poorly marketed piece; along with the general level of ignorance of things Canadian in many parts of the US. These three games could have been quite a showcase….How about one US franchise to bring about 10 teams and broaden the market?

The CFL made the right choice to schedule the Riders vs Durant game for the opener. Of course people would be curious because of the dramatic story line. It was no scheduling fluke.
