There is NO CHANCE that a Marc Trestman Argonaut team will end up last in the CFL at the end of the season as predicted by John Hodge.
There is NO CHANCE they will end up last in the East. This will be the most disciplined Argo squad in years. I’m expecting a good season. Unfortunately most of Toronto will continue to ignore the best team in the city.

In reply to horsieland. I know that you’re a traumatized ex-Stamps fan and now clearly a big Rider fan (Why else would you be posting so much in Rider threads?) so let me help you out a bit. The fact that Young hasn’t played much in a few years means that he’s a *young* 33. It means that he’s taken fewer hits and has less miles on his body in general than other QBs of the same age. But also keep in mind that players like Burris, Cavillo, Damon Allen played consistently as starters up too and past the age of 40, so 34 isn’t old for a QB under any circumstances. In this case people are using the term “old” as code in place of what they really mean but can’t say.

If we’re talking about genuine issues of age, as opposed to the code “old” used the 3DN staff, while 34 is certainly not old for a QB it is VERY old for a DE. You have to wonder when father time will catch up with John Chick.

So, we’re beginning to see some patterns here. According to the 3DN staff Vince Young at 33 is old, and Darian Durant at 34 is old, but Ricky Ray at 37 is not old, and Mike Reilly at 32 is also not old, and Trevor Harris at 31 is also not old. So for them it seems that “old” is a term that that only applies to Rider QBs and ex-Rider QBs.

Love all the butt hurt Rider fans here. You do all realize that your team has won EIGHT games over the last two years. No body in their right mind is going to take you higher than 4th (unless they were green coloured glasses). Yes, you upgraded your talent, so did BC and on paper, Cgy, Edm and Wpg haven’t regressed markedly. So it’s simple, everyone was better than you last year, nobody got worse, thus the predictions of cellar dwelling for the Riders this year. Now here’s the beauty part, we don’t play the games on paper. Go out and prove them wrong on the field. But try to, at least for once, have some objectivity to your team for a change and don’t embarrass yourselves by whining about PRE-SEASON predictions. Rant over.
