Calgary has made a decision with their backup quarterbacking situation.
Canadian Andrew Buckley and former NFL pivot Ricky Stanzi have made the team while former Riders passer Mitchell Gale has been released. The 27-year-old spent three seasons with the Argos before spending 2016 in Saskatchewan. Gale has played in 13 games completing 79 of 137 passes for 950 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions. Inconsistency led to his release from Cowtown.
TSN’s Farhan Lalji has reported three other cuts Calgary made.
