Brandyn Bartlett selected by Riders in supplemental draft

National linebacker Brandyn Bartlett has been selected by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Thursday’s CFL supplemental draft.

The Riders gave up a fifth round pick in the 2018 CFL draft for the six-foot-one, 230-pounder, who started for three seasons at Tusculum College in Tennessee, making 224 tackles, nine tackles for loss, six forced fumbles, four sacks, four pass break-ups, two fumbles recoveries and one interception in 31 games

The 23-year-old had a tryout with the Atlanta Falcons in advance of the NFL draft, but he went unselected and has been working with former NFL and CFL linebacker Rennie Curran.
