A salary dump without a doubt. Had a great 2016 season and was primed to have a great 2017. Not a way to treat a All-Star but in the CFL anything is possible. Woods will most likely make the Als REGRET they made this move. Same goes for SJ Green.

Stupid move by the Alouettes. You don’t replace a leader like that overnight. Sarao better be outstanding, which is not what I expect. The Alouettes’ D suddenly became quite plain.

I understand your reasoning Lindsay Wilcox with suggesting Bear head to Toronto or SK. However since Bear plays the Mike position or MLB. Both Toronto and SK are pretty good there. In fact SK’s MLB Muamba is a very talented National. So no International is going to replace him unless he’s hurt and no other National can fill in.
Now if Bear could switch to the Sam or Will LB position. He would have a way better chance of getting on a new team real quick.
Obviously Montreal could not find anyone to trade with. Probably because of Bears contract. Also most teams are solid at MLB as that position is usually the Captain of the defence. He’s the one making sure everyone knows what formation is needed on each and every play.
I for one enjoy Bears passion and wouldn’t mind him on my favourite team. It’s just whether he fits or not.
As well, if I was an ALS fan I wouldn’t be too concerned about all of the changes they have made with regards to Vets on their way out. The front office has brought in enough new Vets to make up for it. Soon enough there will be new hero’s on the team. I for one hope that Darian Durant rips it up. Except when they play SK… I bet that’s when Darian has his best games. He feels slighted by Jones and with good reason. I for one am a huge Durant fan and will be at the event in 8-10 years from now when he enters the Riders Plaza of Honor. I hope he wins a GC or 2 before that time.
