Suspended Riders in Calgary for Mylan Hicks case

Saskatchewan Roughriders Derek Dennis and Bakari Grant are in Calgary for the Mylan Hicks preliminary hearing, which is set to get underway on Monday, per sources.

The two were suspended by the Riders as part a bevy of roster moves the team announced on Saturday evening.

Dennis and Grant were with the Calgary Stampeders last season when Hicks, a 23-year-old defensive back with the club, was shot to death on Sept. 25, 2016 outside a Calgary nightclub. Nelson Lugela has been charged with second-degree murder.
