That logo looks like the abused horses at the Stampede, legs tied up, laying on its side. The only thing missing is the rope around its neck.

That was the horseshoe nostril flaring stallion right? Yeah I remember that. Didn’t like it personally. Nothing beats the new 3rd helmet they wear now. I love those although wouldn’t want see them anymore than the few times a year we do.

I don’t have anything against it, and I think it fits the hockey sweaters the best. The only Calgary logo I really dislike is the circle-and-dropshadow version of their primary. The simple silhouette has an elegance that’s lost when you jazz it up; compare Winnipeg’s current and previous logos.

You like the the horse shoe with the nostril flaring stallion? I hate that and was glad to see in gone from the new Adidas road jerseys. I have mixed feelings about the red circle. On the one hand it helps the white horse stand out a little more than it does on it’s own which I always found a little understated when compared to other teams logos. On the other hand it’s a classic symbol and maybe it should stand on it’s own.
The black labor day or third jersey is now tradition and should always be. I still remember labor day 1994 when Calgary did pregame warm up in their red jerseys than came out for player intros in the black. It was an exciting day! However I’d love to see grey tights and detail instead on the black for their regular uniform.
People need to remember this:When Calgary went to the black in 1994 they owned it. Ottawa Rough Riders had switched to a red and gold color scheme.

Hockey sweaters do tend to look better with round logos IMO. So I would have gone with the current Argos logo, the retro Sask logo, and the main Ticats logo with the white circle.

As regards Calgary, just no! Black Stampeder jerseys predate not only the Redblacks, but also the Renegades. They’re a Labour Day tradition of 23 years, which is long enough that black has become an authentic part of their colour scheme, no longer a gimmick. Go add lilac or something to Ottawa’s if you want to make stupid changes to better tell them apart.

And just to be inconsistent, I don’t actually like the circle-and-dropshadow version of the Calgary logo, even though it’s round. It would have been cool to see the logo with the horseshoe and flaming mane on the chest.
