Darian Durant delivers heartfelt farewell to Rider fans

Former Saskatchewan Roughrider quarterback Darian Durant got a chance to say farewell to Rider fans on Friday evening.

Durant was a late addition to the roster of players who have signed autographs during the league’s inaugural CFL Week but hundreds of Rider fans still turned out to express their appreciation for the 34-year-old who was traded to the Montreal Alouettes in January after failing to come to terms on a contract extension.

Durant, who played 11 seasons in Saskatchewan and won two Grey Cups with the club, was back in Regina for the first time since the traded and was critical of how the situation was handled by Saskatchewan general manager and head coach Chris Jones.

After the session wrapped up, Durant addressed the crowd.
