University of Maine linebacker Christophe Mulumba won’t attend the CFL combine in Regina from March 23-26 due to a scheduling conflict with his NFL pro day.
Mulumba’s Maine pro day is set for March 23. All CFL teams have been notified that he won’t be present at the league’s marquee scouting event.
The Montreal, Que. native was the top rated linebacker on the CFL’s December scouting bureau rankings.
Mulumba recorded 97 tackles, seven tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and two pass break-ups in 10 games during his senior year with the Black Bears. He racked up 347 career tackles while playing four seasons at Maine. The six-foot-one, 245-pounder was selected to the New England Football Writers’ All-New England team and garnered his third All-CAA (Colonial Athletic Conference) first-team selection after the 2016 campaign.
