Canadian OL J’Michael Deane agrees to terms with Argos

Canadian offensive lineman J’Michael Deane has agreed to terms on a contract with the Toronto Argos, per sources.

The 30-year-old played university football at Michigan State and was drafted by the Stampeders in the third round (21st overall) in the 2010 CFL draft. He played three seasons for Calgary before being taken by Ottawa in the second round of the Redblacks 2013 expansion draft. After spending three years with Ottawa, Deane became a free agent in February.

Over Deane’s six-year CFL career he has played in 89 games, starting 76, including 16 starts last season for Ottawa. He started at left guard in the Redblacks 2016 Grey Cup victory against Calgary.
