Lemon was one of several big name signing by the Riders in the opening days of free agency last season but things quickly soured and he was ultimately traded to the Toronto Argonauts where he played in 16 games this season with Toronto registering 14 sacks and five forced fumbles, both of which tied him for second in the league. He signed a contract extension with the club after the season.
It’s not the first time (or likely the last) Lemon has stirred the pot on social media. He was also salty about his departure from the Ottawa Redblacks, getting into a Twtiter spat with general manager Marcel Desjardins and recently bet Ticat Simoni Lawrence $2,000 the Argos – currently without a head coach or general manager – would make the playoffs this season.
Of course, he’s hardly the only one taking shots at Saskatchewan…

UPDATE: Dennis has fired back…
Derek Dennis on that Shawn Lemon tweet:
“Lemon’s one of my good friends … he just wanted to stir up some things things on the internet.”— Arielle Zerr (@arielle_zerr) February 15, 2017
“But sometimes I tell him he needs to learn how to keep his mouth closed.”
