Let the record show that Toronto defensive end Shawn Lemon has bet Hamilton linebacker Simoni Lawrence $2,000 that the Argos will make the 2017 CFL playoffs.

The wager came at the end of an another tumultuous day for the Double Blue that saw head coach Scott Milanovich resign to take a job with the Jacksonsville Jaguars and add former Hamilton offensive coordinator Tommy Condell as a special advisor.

The Argonauts finished 5-13 last season missing the playoffs for the second straight year and are currently without a general manager or a head coach.

Both Lemon and Lawrence are American (fine, internationals) but did not specify whether the bet was in Canadian dollars or U.S. funds. Should the duo decide on loonies and toonies, then the loser will be out $2,627.72 CAD at today’s exchange rate.
