Riders release Otha Foster to sign with NFL’s Ravens

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have released linebacker Otha Foster, their 2016 Most Outstanding Defensive Player, so he can pursue NFL opportunities.

Foster, 28, started in all 18 games for the Riders after signing as a free agent last February. He registered 71 defensive tackles, four tackles for loss, three quarterback sacks and one interception.

Foster was set to become a free agent in February.
